Welcome to the Wight Flyers

 

Wight Flyers are based at Medina Sports Centre and have an active membership of over 100 children and adults. After receiving various grants we now have ten trampolines of our own.
The Club currently has between 20 and 25 competitive members who travel all round southern England to attend various competitions run by British Gymnastics. The remainder are recreational members who come along for a bit of fun and to learn some skills on the trampoline.
(We even have a few Mums and Dads who take part as well!)

Summer holiday break... The last sessions before the summer holiday will be as follows:
Sunday:   18th July 2010
Thursday:   22nd July 2010
We will return after the summer break as follows:
Thursday:  9th September 2010
Sunday:  12th September 2010
 Squad children will be advised separately as to when their sessions will finish and start.

Wight Flyers is a
GymMark Club.
GymMark is British Gymnastic's club accreditation scheme that recognises the quality of the club. The key phrase for BG is ”safe, effective and child-friendly”.
The benefits of GymMark include:
  • Able to demonstrate that we have addressed issues such as equality and child protection which gives confidence to parents choosing the club for their children.
  • Developing our club – the foundation for any club is its youth structure. So, by encouraging and attracting young members, we are building a strong future for our club. GymMark provides an excellent template for continuing club development.
  • Developing our coaches, officials and volunteers – as part of GymMark, we are given help and advice in developing the skills of everyone involved in our club.
  •  Come along and have a go to see if you like trampolining before you join the club. Try it for up to three weeks before committing yourself to join the club.
